If you like boating, we are located on the Little Niangua arm of the Lake Of The Ozarks. The water
is very calm and is the nicest water for boating, skiing, tubing or just 'hanging out' by the Boat Ramp.
Is fishing
something you like? Crappie and bass fishing are at its finest here. There is plenty of room to fish from the shore of the
river and lake, or off the floating dock at the Deer Meadow Estates Boat Ramp.
If golf is your game, there are two
very nice golf courses close by. If you need more than two, don't worry ... there are plenty more within a short
drive.
Ha Ha Tonka State Park is only a few miles away, where you can take a leisurely hike, see the
remnants of an historical castle, or simply enjoy a natural cold-water spring that leads into the Lake of the Ozarks.
Is
shopping your deal? It is a 20-minute drive to the sprawling Osage Beach Outlet Mall. You will find plenty of specialty stores
to stop and shop. If eating out sounds good, there are many restaurants to choose from that cater to many tastes and
styles.

Things To Do...right on the land!
Hike and explore the land...Walk to the waterfall, to rocky meadow, to the lake,
to the boat dock, see the cliffs by the river, and more.
Tour the land on our ATVs - There are around five miles of trails within the property
for hiking, ATV's, dirt bikes, etc. We have two Yamaha Kodiak 4x4 ATVs! Also a Kowasaki 'Mule'
4x4 utility vehicle with a bench seat and pickup bed. They are not only fun to ride and explore with, but are necessary
workhorses for hauling wood, rocks, dirt, the kayak, pond float toys, coolers, etc.
Tractor Riding - The real deal - a 1962 Ford 2000 tractor! Many uses...Mowing, hauling, grading,
or just the fun of riding it around!
SWIMMING - Swim in the lake/river, you can swim at our boat ramp. Float and swim in our pond
with the swimming platform and ladder. It's a favorite pastime of ours, lounging on the float toys!
Wade in Husson Hollow Creek - Next to the cabin is a great little wading pool that has been nicknamed the
'T-Zone.' Cool off, relax and have a Corona on those hot summer days. Sit on a rock with your bare feet in
the water and enjoy! Or take a cool 'Creek walk' through the property.
Play Horseshoes - There are horseshoe pits set up behind the cabin.
Bocce Ball - croquet - board games - backgammon - cards - dice games - scrabble ...and more games
are there to enjoy.
Play DVD's and CD's - We have two TVs with DVD players there. Also a stereo music CD,
tape, FM/AM system. A collection of DVDs and CD's. Weather radio. Walkie-talkies.
Reading - We have a collection of books.
GUITARS - An acoustic and Fender Strat electric with amplifier are always at the cabin to play.
FISHING - Bring your fishing gear or use ours! The Lake of the Ozarks is known as one of the best fishing lakes in the country, and
we are right there.
Kayaking - We have a 2-person inflatable Sea Eagle kayak that even has a sail, that we put in the
lake and river to relax and explore in. There is also a one-person fiberglass kayak. You can go for miles in either direction
from our boat ramp.
Wood cutting and splitting - For exercise and that great 'earthy' feeling. We have a chain saw and wood
splitters...who needs a gym when you have Ozark body-building equipment?
Find the wild turkeys! - You will hear them in our woods, and see them walking around the cabin
in the morning. ...can you be stealthy enough to get close? Our neighbor has hunted them here. One from our land was
his Thanksgiving dinner, so they are quite big!
Watch the Deer - Point Meadow next to the cabin is one of many places where deer bed down for the night.
Our neighbors have feeding stations, and the deer come out regularly. We have seen families of as many as 10 deer
feeding.
Mountain Biking - Much terrain to explore with hills and trails, if you bring your bike or dirt motorcycle.
Bird Watching - Many varieties are to be found onsite, from hummingbirds to golden finches, Indigo Buntings, and
more. Hummingbirds come right up to check you out on the cabin front porch sometimes, it's amazing! We have bird
books and binoculars.
Mushroom Hunting is possible, based on the weather. We have many edible varieties to be found on the
land, from 'Morels' to Puff Balls, 'Hen-of-the-Woods' and 'Walrus Tooth'. Some of these mushrooms are quite large, actually
weighing in at several pounds each! Yes, we have mushroom identification guide books.
JUST HANG OUT AND RELAX!
Rocking chairs are on the porch...sit, read, relax, ...have a drink or two.
We just love to listen to the the sounds of nature and enjoy the lack of city noise.
Enjoy campfires at our fire pit, play in the ponds and streams, Enjoy a fire in the glass-faced
wood stove, strum the guitar, star gaze...all are ways to relax here. Hanging out and experiencing nature is truly
relaxing...just chill out and enjoy the peacefulness!
There is absolutely nothing like lots of woods and space to roam. Such a feeling of freedom, away
from the trappings of urban life!
